# Snowball vs Bubblard

The clearest difference is rating: Bubblard at 5.0 against Snowball's 2.9. Snowball's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 25 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bubblard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snowball has 187 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Snowball ships an update every 2 months, Bubblard every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
