# Christmas vs Tromme

Christmas and Tromme both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of Tromme's written reviews are positive against 44% of Christmas's. Tromme also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly). Christmas's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (51 vs 8). On price, rating and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tromme sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Christmas asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Christmas against 4.6 for Tromme. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Christmas has 51 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Christmas's written reviews are positive against 83% of Tromme's.

Christmas ships an update monthly, Tromme every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
