# Christmas List vs Jinnie

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Jinnie at none against Christmas List's 1. Jinnie also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 months). Christmas List's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 205) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Christmas List sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Jinnie asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Christmas List against 4.5 for Jinnie. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Christmas List has 1.9K ratings behind it against 205, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Christmas List's written reviews are positive against 62% of Jinnie's.

Christmas List ships an update every 5 months, Jinnie every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
