# Sun n Moon vs Sol

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Sol at 93% against Sun n Moon's 59%. Sol also leads on ratings volume (898 vs 8). Sun n Moon's advantage is price ($0.99 vs $4.99) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On ads, in-app purchases, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.

Sun n Moon costs $0.99 and Sol $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sun n Moon holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sol has 898 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Sun n Moon's written reviews are positive against 93% of Sol's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sun n Moon ships an update every 5 weeks, Sol every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
