# Big Day vs Countdown with widget

The clearest difference is price: Countdown with widget at Free against Big Day's $0.99. Countdown with widget also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 58). Big Day's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and review sentiment (62% vs 27%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Countdown with widget holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown with widget has 2.1K ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Big Day's written reviews are positive against 27% of Countdown with widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
