# DC Metro vs Randomizer

The clearest difference is rating: Randomizer at 4.6 against DC Metro's 3.0. Randomizer also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (270 vs 6). DC Metro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Randomizer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. DC Metro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Randomizer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Randomizer has 270 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of DC Metro's written reviews are positive against 81% of Randomizer's.

DC Metro ships an update every 7 months, Randomizer every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
