# DC Metro vs Time Zone Clock

The clearest difference is rating: Time Zone Clock at 4.4 against DC Metro's 3.0. Time Zone Clock also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (253 vs 6). DC Metro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Zone Clock sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. DC Metro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Time Zone Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Zone Clock has 253 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of DC Metro's written reviews are positive against 57% of Time Zone Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DC Metro ships an update every 7 months, Time Zone Clock every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
