# OpenTable vs heytea

The clearest difference is ads: heytea at none against OpenTable's shown. heytea also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). OpenTable's advantage is ratings volume (5.6M vs 9.4K) and chart position (#30 vs #141). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for OpenTable against 4.9 for heytea. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OpenTable has 5.6M ratings behind it against 9.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of OpenTable's written reviews are positive against 79% of heytea's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
