# Buscapé vs Extra Mercado

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Buscapé at 62% against Extra Mercado's 15%. Buscapé also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (5.4K vs 344). Extra Mercado's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Extra Mercado holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Buscapé has 5.4K ratings behind it against 344, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Buscapé's written reviews are positive against 15% of Extra Mercado's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Buscapé ships an update fortnightly, Extra Mercado every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
