# Trippin vs Simple Paint AR

The clearest difference is rating: Trippin at 4.4 against Simple Paint AR's 3.0. Trippin also leads on monetization model (free vs paid) and ratings volume (16 vs 2). Simple Paint AR's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 59%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Trippin costs $0.99 and Simple Paint AR $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trippin holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trippin has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Trippin's written reviews are positive against 80% of Simple Paint AR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
