# LimeChat vs FluffyChat

The clearest difference is price: FluffyChat at Free against LimeChat's $4.99. FluffyChat also leads on rating (3.9 vs 3.1) and ratings volume (102 vs 11). LimeChat's advantage is review sentiment (65% vs 50%) and chart position (#65 vs unranked). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

FluffyChat is free to download; LimeChat costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FluffyChat holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FluffyChat has 102 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of LimeChat's written reviews are positive against 50% of FluffyChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LimeChat ships an update every 5 weeks, FluffyChat monthly. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
