# FFT vs MOTIV Audio

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FFT at 86% against MOTIV Audio's 40%. FFT also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). MOTIV Audio's advantage is price (Free vs $10.99) and rating (4.6 vs 4.0). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

MOTIV Audio is free to download; FFT costs $10.99 up front. FFT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MOTIV Audio asks for nothing beyond the download.

MOTIV Audio holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MOTIV Audio has 3.7K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of FFT's written reviews are positive against 40% of MOTIV Audio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FFT ships an update every 6 months, MOTIV Audio monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
