# Parental Control App vs Off Remote

The clearest difference is monetization model: Parental Control App at free with in-app purchases against Off Remote's subscription. Parental Control App also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 56). Off Remote's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.3). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parental Control App sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Off Remote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Off Remote holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Parental Control App has 1.9K ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two.
