# Lufthansa vs Eurowings

The clearest difference is ads: Eurowings at none against Lufthansa's shown. Eurowings also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Lufthansa's advantage is ratings volume (95K vs 4.7K) and review sentiment (56% vs 42%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Lufthansa against 4.8 for Eurowings. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lufthansa has 95K ratings behind it against 4.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Lufthansa's written reviews are positive against 42% of Eurowings's.

Lufthansa ships an update fortnightly, Eurowings monthly. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
