# Lufthansa vs United Airlines

The clearest difference is ratings volume: United Airlines at 8.4M against Lufthansa's 95K. United Airlines also leads on chart position (#10 vs #90). Lufthansa's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Lufthansa against 4.8 for United Airlines. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: United Airlines has 8.4M ratings behind it against 95K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Lufthansa's written reviews are positive against 41% of United Airlines's.

Lufthansa ships an update fortnightly, United Airlines weekly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
