# iDrone vs Ball and drop

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ball and drop at 100% against iDrone's 47%. Ball and drop also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.8) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.0). iDrone's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 20 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iDrone sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Ball and drop sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ball and drop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iDrone has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of iDrone's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ball and drop's.

iDrone ships an update monthly, Ball and drop every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
