# Backgammon vs Backgammon Clubs

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Backgammon at 65% against Backgammon Clubs's 19%. Backgammon also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 4.3K). Backgammon Clubs's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 5 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Backgammon Clubs sells 18 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Clubs holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15K and 4.3K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Backgammon's written reviews are positive against 19% of Backgammon Clubs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon ships an update every 5 months, Backgammon Clubs every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
