# 新浪新闻 vs 人民日报

The clearest difference is rating: 新浪新闻 at 4.4 against 人民日报's 3.1. 新浪新闻 also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 77) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). 人民日报's advantage is chart position (#123 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

新浪新闻 holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 新浪新闻 has 11K ratings behind it against 77, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of 新浪新闻's written reviews are positive against 59% of 人民日报's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

新浪新闻 ships an update fortnightly, 人民日报 every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
