The clearest difference is price: Surely at Free against Headspace's $3.99. Surely also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and review sentiment (100% vs 71%). Headspace's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.1). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Surely is free to download; Headspace costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
