# Speedtest by Ookla vs Nectar

The clearest difference is rating: Speedtest by Ookla at 4.5 against Nectar's 2.8. Speedtest by Ookla also leads on ratings volume (28K vs 6) and chart position (#52 vs unranked). Nectar's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedtest by Ookla sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Nectar asks for nothing beyond the download.

Speedtest by Ookla holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedtest by Ookla has 28K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.
