# Infrared Camera vs Thermography Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Thermography Camera at 3.9 against Infrared Camera's 1.0. Thermography Camera also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (12 vs 1). Infrared Camera's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Infrared Camera sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Thermography Camera asks for nothing beyond the download.

Thermography Camera holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thermography Camera has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Infrared Camera's written reviews are positive against 13% of Thermography Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Infrared Camera ships an update weekly, Thermography Camera every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
