# Infrared Camera vs Motion Detector LIVE

The clearest difference is price: Infrared Camera at Free against Motion Detector LIVE's $0.99. Infrared Camera also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 29 months) and review sentiment (28% vs 0%). Motion Detector LIVE's advantage is rating (2.4 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). On ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Infrared Camera is free to download; Motion Detector LIVE costs $0.99 up front. Infrared Camera sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Motion Detector LIVE sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Motion Detector LIVE holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Motion Detector LIVE has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Infrared Camera's written reviews are positive against 0% of Motion Detector LIVE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Infrared Camera ships an update weekly, Motion Detector LIVE every 29 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
