# Kalimba! vs Professional Marimba

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Kalimba! at 135 against Professional Marimba's 14. On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kalimba! sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Professional Marimba sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Professional Marimba holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kalimba! has 135 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Kalimba! ships an update every 4 months, Professional Marimba every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
