# Kalimba! vs Harp Sim

The clearest difference is rating: Harp Sim at 5.0 against Kalimba!'s 4.4. Kalimba!'s advantage is ratings volume (132 vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kalimba! sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Harp Sim sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Harp Sim holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kalimba! has 132 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Kalimba! ships an update every 4 months, Harp Sim every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
