# Air Navigation Pro vs AeroChart

The clearest difference is monetization model: Air Navigation Pro at free with in-app purchases against AeroChart's subscription. Air Navigation Pro also leads on review sentiment (58% vs 40%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Air Navigation Pro sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $69.99 per year and AeroChart sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Air Navigation Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Air Navigation Pro has 641 ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Air Navigation Pro's written reviews are positive against 40% of AeroChart's.

Air Navigation Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, AeroChart every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
