# EL PAÍS vs Trome

The clearest difference is rating: Trome at 5.0 against EL PAÍS's 2.1. Trome also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). EL PAÍS's advantage is ratings volume (197 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EL PAÍS sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Trome asks for nothing beyond the download.
