# EL PAÍS vs Gestión

The clearest difference is rating: Gestión at 4.3 against EL PAÍS's 2.1. Gestión also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). EL PAÍS's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (198 vs 17). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EL PAÍS sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Gestión asks for nothing beyond the download.

Gestión holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EL PAÍS has 198 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 14% and 14% positive.

EL PAÍS ships an update every 2 weeks, Gestión every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
