# WordJong vs Match Manor

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WordJong at 90% against Match Manor's 42%. WordJong also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 19) and ads (none vs shown). Match Manor's advantage is price (Free vs $1.99) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 14 months). On device support there is nothing between them.

Match Manor is free to download; WordJong costs $1.99 up front. Match Manor sells 19 one-off in-app purchases. WordJong asks for nothing beyond the download.

Match Manor holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Match Manor has 14K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of WordJong's written reviews are positive against 42% of Match Manor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WordJong ships an update every 14 months, Match Manor every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
