# 将棋盤 vs Pro Shogi

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pro Shogi at every 2 weeks against 将棋盤's every 2 months. Pro Shogi also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 将棋盤 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pro Shogi sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

将棋盤 ships an update every 2 months, Pro Shogi every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
