# Gorillas vs Double Deck Pinochle ‣

The clearest difference is ads: Gorillas at none against Double Deck Pinochle ‣'s shown. Gorillas also leads on review sentiment (57% vs 29%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Double Deck Pinochle ‣'s advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Double Deck Pinochle ‣ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Double Deck Pinochle ‣ has 422 ratings behind it against 49, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Gorillas's written reviews are positive against 29% of Double Deck Pinochle ‣'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gorillas ships an update every 2 months, Double Deck Pinochle ‣ every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
