# iOdds vs Pitcher v Batter

The clearest difference is rating: iOdds at 4.0 against Pitcher v Batter's 3.0. iOdds also leads on ratings volume (112 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). Pitcher v Batter's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iOdds holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iOdds has 112 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of iOdds's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pitcher v Batter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
