# Whisperings vs Functional Harmony

The clearest difference is monetization model: Functional Harmony at free against Whisperings's free with in-app purchases. Whisperings's advantage is ratings volume (249 vs 24). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Whisperings against 4.9 for Functional Harmony. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whisperings has 249 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of Whisperings's written reviews are positive against 83% of Functional Harmony's.

Whisperings ships an update every 5 months, Functional Harmony every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
