# Ballistic vs DNT

The clearest difference is rating: DNT at 3.1 against Ballistic's 1.0. DNT also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (31 vs 1). Ballistic's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 32%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ballistic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. DNT asks for nothing beyond the download.

DNT holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DNT has 31 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Ballistic's written reviews are positive against 32% of DNT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ballistic ships an update every 3 months, DNT every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
