# Ballistic vs OvenTempPro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: OvenTempPro at 100% against Ballistic's 49%. OvenTempPro also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Ballistic's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (81 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ballistic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and OvenTempPro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OvenTempPro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.1.
