# 2Do Legacy Edition vs 1Writer

The clearest difference is price: 1Writer at $4.99 against 2Do Legacy Edition's $9.99. 1Writer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). 2Do Legacy Edition's advantage is ratings volume (3.7K vs 388) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

2Do Legacy Edition costs $9.99 and 1Writer $4.99 up front. 2Do Legacy Edition sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and 1Writer sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for 2Do Legacy Edition against 4.6 for 1Writer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 2Do Legacy Edition has 3.7K ratings behind it against 388, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of 2Do Legacy Edition's written reviews are positive against 84% of 1Writer's.

2Do Legacy Edition ships an update every 3 weeks, 1Writer every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 1, 2026.
