# Lifecards vs Photo Widget

Lifecards and Photo Widget both sit at 3.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 81% of Lifecards's written reviews are positive against 36% of Photo Widget's. Photo Widget's advantage is ratings volume (300 vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Lifecards costs $1.99 and Photo Widget $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.8 for Lifecards against 3.9 for Photo Widget. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Photo Widget has 300 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of Lifecards's written reviews are positive against 36% of Photo Widget's.

Lifecards ships an update every 7 months, Photo Widget every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
