# Air NZ vs KiaOra

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Air NZ at none against KiaOra's 10. Air NZ also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (12K vs 9). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KiaOra sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Air NZ asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Air NZ against 4.7 for KiaOra. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Air NZ has 12K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Air NZ's written reviews are positive against 21% of KiaOra's.

Air NZ ships an update every 3 weeks, KiaOra every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
