# Piano vs Piano Sharp HD

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Piano Sharp HD at 59% against Piano's 9%. Piano Sharp HD also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (19 vs 1). Piano's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.5). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Piano sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Piano Sharp HD asks for nothing beyond the download.

Piano holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Piano Sharp HD has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of Piano's written reviews are positive against 59% of Piano Sharp HD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Piano ships an update every 12 months, Piano Sharp HD every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
