# Piano vs Vinyl Record

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vinyl Record at 100% against Piano's 9%. Vinyl Record also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 12 months). Piano's advantage is price (Free vs $3.99) and rating (5.0 vs 4.5). On ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Piano is free to download; Vinyl Record costs $3.99 up front. Piano sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Vinyl Record asks for nothing beyond the download.

Piano holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of Piano's written reviews are positive against 100% of Vinyl Record's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
