# Allegro vs CarOnSale

The clearest difference is ads: CarOnSale at none against Allegro's shown. CarOnSale also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Allegro's advantage is ratings volume (5.4K vs 3). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CarOnSale holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Allegro has 5.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Allegro's written reviews are positive against 52% of CarOnSale's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
