# Quran Reader vs القرآن الكريم

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: القرآن الكريم at none against Quran Reader's 1. القرآن الكريم also leads on review sentiment (95% vs 83%). Quran Reader's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 23 months) and ratings volume (842 vs 132). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quran Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. القرآن الكريم asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Quran Reader against 4.7 for القرآن الكريم. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quran Reader has 842 ratings behind it against 132, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Quran Reader's written reviews are positive against 95% of القرآن الكريم's.

Quran Reader ships an update every 2 months, القرآن الكريم every 23 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
