# NoteNow vs Lock Screen Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Lock Screen Notes at 4.4 against NoteNow's 3.0. Lock Screen Notes also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (109 vs 2). NoteNow's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 20) and review sentiment (57% vs 30%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lock Screen Notes sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. NoteNow asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lock Screen Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lock Screen Notes has 109 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of NoteNow's written reviews are positive against 30% of Lock Screen Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NoteNow ships an update every 4 months, Lock Screen Notes every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
