# GPS Log LITE vs KML Collection

The clearest difference is ratings volume: KML Collection at 186 against GPS Log LITE's 5. KML Collection also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Log LITE sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and KML Collection sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KML Collection holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KML Collection has 186 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of GPS Log LITE's written reviews are positive against 60% of KML Collection's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GPS Log LITE ships an update every 4 months, KML Collection monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
