# Wattpad vs Inkspired

The clearest difference is ads: Inkspired at none against Wattpad's shown. Inkspired also leads on review sentiment (51% vs 32%). Wattpad's advantage is ratings volume (706K vs 617) and chart position (#4 vs unranked). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wattpad sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Inkspired sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Wattpad against 4.7 for Inkspired. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wattpad has 706K ratings behind it against 617, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 32% of Wattpad's written reviews are positive against 51% of Inkspired's.

Wattpad ships an update every 2 weeks, Inkspired every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
