# SkyText vs Airtext

The clearest difference is price: Airtext at Free against SkyText's $1.99. Airtext also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 39 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). SkyText's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and chart position (#91 vs unranked). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Airtext is free to download; SkyText costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SkyText holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Airtext has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of SkyText's written reviews are positive against 100% of Airtext's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SkyText ships an update every 39 months, Airtext every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and August 15, 2026 respectively.
