# Flashcards Deluxe Lite vs Flashcard Max

The clearest difference is update cadence: Flashcard Max at every 5 days against Flashcards Deluxe Lite's every 5 months. Flashcard Max also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 65%) and ratings volume (28 vs 5). Flashcards Deluxe Lite's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Flashcards Deluxe Lite holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashcard Max has 28 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Flashcards Deluxe Lite's written reviews are positive against 83% of Flashcard Max's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
