# Flashcards Deluxe Lite vs FlashCards

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flashcards Deluxe Lite at none against FlashCards's 1. Flashcards Deluxe Lite also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). FlashCards's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (83% vs 65%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlashCards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Flashcards Deluxe Lite asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flashcards Deluxe Lite holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlashCards has 52 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Flashcards Deluxe Lite's written reviews are positive against 83% of FlashCards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flashcards Deluxe Lite ships an update every 5 months, FlashCards fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
