# Tapatalk vs Pindigo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pindigo at none against Tapatalk's 10. Pindigo also leads on ads (none vs shown). Tapatalk's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (16K vs 41). On price, rating, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tapatalk sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Pindigo asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Tapatalk against 4.4 for Pindigo. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tapatalk has 16K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 49% of Tapatalk's written reviews are positive against 56% of Pindigo's.

Tapatalk ships an update every 3 weeks, Pindigo every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
