# Tapatalk vs Vorail (Legacy)

The clearest difference is rating: Tapatalk at 4.4 against Vorail (Legacy)'s 3.2. Tapatalk also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (16K vs 89). Vorail (Legacy)'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (63% vs 49%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tapatalk sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Vorail (Legacy) sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tapatalk holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tapatalk has 16K ratings behind it against 89, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Tapatalk's written reviews are positive against 63% of Vorail (Legacy)'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tapatalk ships an update every 2 weeks, Vorail (Legacy) every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
