# Tapatalk vs Parler

The clearest difference is rating: Tapatalk at 4.4 against Parler's 3.9. Tapatalk also leads on ratings volume (16K vs 175). Parler's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tapatalk sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Parler sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tapatalk holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tapatalk has 16K ratings behind it against 175, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tapatalk ships an update every 2 weeks, Parler every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
